Louise Dailly joined Skanska in 2015 from the public sector, where she led on a training and skills programme on the internationally funded SmartLIFE project, developing skills in Modern Methods of Construction and renewable Technology, including supporting homeless, long-term unemployed and the traveller community to develop skills leading to sustainable jobs in the sector. Joining the HS2 tender team for Skanska in the same year, she went onto lead the Legacy team on the Costain Skanska joint venture Enabling works programme, delivering a legacy programme that created £115.5M of social value, a strategy to support the most vulnerable in society into employment and created the concept for Empowering Communities. Louise now leads the Social Sustainability team on the Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture Main Works HS2 programme and leads the Empowering Communities Steering group.

Ambrose Quashie has spent over 10 years working in the public sector in a number of senior roles to create pathways into employment for communities across London. In 2018, he joined HS2 Ltd as a Skills Manager responsible for overseeing the delivery of activities to enable people from across London to benefit from the substantial number of employment opportunities that the project will support. HS2 is the largest infrastructure project in Europe and at the peak of construction will support more than 30,000 jobs, and generate 2,000 apprenticeships over its lifetime.

Dan Atkins is a hardworking Social Entrepreneur from New Zealand living and working in London. He has built on his life experience to found the Buses 4 Homeless project which helps transform homeless people’s lives in a unique and effective way. His goal in life is to create solutions for age-old problems, to challenge the status quo and to leave a strong and lasting impact in people’s lives.
